SEMA 2024 Wrap-Up

SEMA 2024 Wrap-Up

SEMA 2024 was filled with exciting new products in the pipeline from XS Power Batteries! Not only did we introduce new products and new technologies to our lineup, we continue to push the boundaries in energy storage for the 12-, 14-, and 16-volt energy storage space.

Before we dive into the new products released, let’s take a dive into what built XS Power- AGM. While we only had one AGM battery on display, our S3400 is a tried-and-true staple to our lineup of AGM batteries. With 1150 cranking amps and 80ah of reserve capacity, we absolutely had to bring it to show our roots of high performance AGM.

Specifically for racing, our Titan8 RSV-S7-1600 has been taking the 16-volt battery market by storm. At 12 lbs, this battery is a no-brainer for those wanting to save some weight. Most of the users of this battery have a total-loss application, like a drag car, dirt late model, or any application without an alternator. We introduced Titan8 RSV-S7-1600 to be a direct replacement to our D1600, which has been a staple in the 16-volt market for many years. WIth 750 cranking amps and 60ah of reserve capacity, RSV-S7-1600 beats our D1600 in every single metric- lifespan, cranking power, and recharge rate.

Catering to our power sports customers, we had our Titan8 PWR-S5-20Q and RSV-S5-30Q on display to show how feasible it is to incorporate the energy storage needed for aftermarket accessories like lights, audio, winches- pretty much any accessory you can bolt up to your SXS, UTV or ATV. Titan8 PWR-S5-20Q utilizes a Group 20/Group 20L housing with 20ah of reserve capacity and 670 cranking amps. On smaller engines, this is absolutely plenty, and as an example of it’s capabilities, we rate this battery to support up to a 4,000 watt audio system on your SXS, UTV or ATV. Titan8 RSV-S5-30Q is our Group 30/Group 30L offering for power sports, and is a direct-fit replacement for many applications like Harley bikes and more. At 11 lbs, this battery offers 750 cranking amps and 60ah of reserve capacity to keep the party going. Whether you have underglow, radar detectors, aftermarket audio or high powered lighting, RSV-S5-30Q is the premiere choice in the Group 30 size. With dual positive and negative terminals, this battery allows for cleaner installation of wiring, and spreads out the load over each terminal for continuous output. As an example of the capabilities of this battery, we rate it to handle up to 5,000 watts of audio on your bike, UTV or ATV.

Catered toward our audio crowd, we had to bring a fan favorite- our xMAX90-DIY. This DIY-Style Lithium Iron-Phosphate battery boasts massive performance for high powered audio systems. With burst support up to 20,000 watts, this battery is one of a kind in performance, longevity and style. With active cell balancing, a 4-year warranty, and 90ah of reserve capacity, xMAX90-DIY is becoming a hero in the audio competition space.

From here, we’ll get into the new products for 2025: Starting with our Titan8 RSV23 and RSV46, these will be a limited production run of our Reserve-Series Titan8 offerings. Both are cased in a group 34 housing, but boast big differences. RSV23 offers 750 cranking amps and 69ah of reserve capacity. At 11 lbs, this battery almost has the same reserve capacity as our D3400, but sheds 38 lbs of weight in comparison. As the bigger brother, RSV46 doubles the output of our RSV23 with 1500 cranking amps and 138ah of reserve capacity. RSV46 is still over half the weight of our D3400, but with more capacity to run lighting with the vehicle off, power up to a 6,000 watt audio system, or run those aftermarket accessories like winches, high powered lighting, CB radios and more. Look for these near the beginning of 2025!

Our roots in audio competition are shown in the next three products- Our 14v TeamTitan8 series batteries. We debuted our TT-30, TT-60, and TT-90 models geared toward huge power capabilities. Our TeamTitan8 models are best ran between 15.4-15.9 volts, utilizing LTO technology. The baby of the trio, our TT-30, offers 30ah of LTO (Lithium Titanate-Oxide) power, and can support a 15,000 watt audio system. The terminals can support 3x positive and 3x negative bare wire inputs on top of 3x ⅜ lugs, offering a max of 6 inputs on each side.

TT-60 is the middle child of the lineup, offering double the capacity of our TT-30. TT-60 can support up to a 30,000 watt audio system and offers 6x positive and 6x negative bare wire inputs on top of 6x ⅜ lug posts. We rate this battery to handle up to a 30,000 watt audio system.

TT-90 is the big brother. This beast of a battery says “try me.” As an example, imagine having 4 Sundown Audio SALT-8’s wired at 1-ohm. It takes power to make power, and with up to 50,000 watts of power handling, this single battery can handle every bit of current needed for those amplifiers. With 9x bare wire inputs on both the positive and negative side, you also have 9x ⅜ lug inputs on the positive and negative side as well. This gives you infinite expand-ability and the performance you trust from us. Our TeamTitan8 Series batteries should be available within the first quarter of 2025.

Last but not least, we introduced a new series of products to our lineup- SodiumSafe. We brought the first installment of the series for display, which is our SS-30 power sports battery. Let's dive into sodium for a second- why are we using sodium technology? Sodium is a great alternative to lithium and AGM, while giving more lifespan in comparison to AGM. We rate our sodium products to have about a 4,000 cycle life, which is about double the life of AGM. Sodium will sit in between our AGM and Titan8 offerings and bridge the gap of lifespan, performance, and price. SS-30 utilizes sodium as a cathode and can be used with either a 12- or 14-volt system. With 1,000 cranking amps on demand and up to 50ah of reserve capacity, this is one of the most energy dense options in the Group 30 size. On a standard 12v system, you’ll get about 25ah of reserve capacity, and charging closer to 15.5v will get you about 50ah of reserve capacity. The flexibility of this battery makes it one of the most versatile products we will offer, with availability early 2025.
